Khasab: the wilder fjords
Khasab, the Musandam capital, sits deeper in Oman and is the base for cruises into the larger northern khors, plus longer full-day and overnight trips. The scenery is grander and quieter, but Khasab is harder to reach — worth it if you're already in Oman or after the wilder version.
Half day or full day?
A full day reaches the better coves, gives more time to swim and snorkel, improves your dolphin odds and usually includes lunch — it's the one to choose if you can. A half-day is a lighter option when time is short, trading fjord time for an earlier finish.
